This morning, July 18, 2017, the US Dollar dropped slumped to a 10-month low after another healthcare setback under the Trump administration. The slip occurred after two more republican Senators, Mike Lee (Utah) and Jerry Moran (Kan.), released statements declaring that they would not support the GOP’s revamped healthcare plan. Since the GOP can only afford to lose 2 votes to pass their replacement healthcare bill, this loss of support has a negative impact on the bill. The challenges Republicans are facing with their healthcare plan reflect the trouble that the GOP and Trump administration are have with implementing their policy agenda’s. This has become a worry for investors of the US Dollar, causing the Dollar to slump.
